Germ Hotspots in your Office - Cleaning Tips

If you are running an office, then you should know that like any other place, your office too has germ hotspots the need to be cleaned regularly. Of course, the office tables contain many germs, and they are present in anything and everything from phones to computer hardware. The germs present in these spots can cause many diseases to your employees if you don't clean them regularly as they interact with these items almost all the time.

But these are not the only places in your office that act as germ hotspots. There are several others too, which will cause problems if not cleaned properly. Let me list them down for the next time you are going to clean your office.

Bathrooms

Not all people working in your office have the same bathroom habits, some may not wash their hands after using the bathroom, and some may not dispose of tissue papers properly. Germs spreading in this way can be avoided by hourly cleaning the bathroom.

Door Handles

These are the spots that a large number of people come in regular contact. That is why door handles have a huge contamination potential. Clean and disinfect these during your daily cleaning routine.

Carpets

You can't be sure of where all your employees were before they came into the office. They can be carrying a lot of germs and dirt under their shoes. And all these are deposited in the carpets. So it is necessary to clean these using industrial-grade steam cleaners.

Coffeepots

Communal coffeepots and electric kettles can spread germs too. If someone carrying viruses uses the kettle without washing hands, it is likely that the next one using it to get in contact with the germs. Encourage your employees to wash their hands before and after using the coffeepots and kettles. The same goes for microwave ovens, water coolers, refrigerators, and vending machines.

Shared Phones

It is no surprise that shared phones are one of the hotspots of germs as they are always getting in contact with many people. Encourage your employees to either sanitize their hands after they use it or disinfect the phone before using it. The same goes for shared keyboards.

The best way to prevent the spreading of germs and viruses is by hiring a professional cleaner, most preferably a company that provides end of lease cleaning as they miss no spots and provide its customers a spotless cleaning.
